The resumed fifth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5), took place online and in Nairobi on 28 February – 2 March 2022.
The United Nations Environment Assembly is commonly known by its acronym “UNEA”. It is the world’s highest-level decision-making body on the environment; people also call it the world’s parliament on the environment.
UNEA is where representatives of the 193 countries who are Member States of the UN come together with business and civil society leaders to discuss and set policies that will tackle the challenges our planet faces.
